September Summary
September 2024:
Hey Siri, play Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran. It’s official Autumn! 🍁🍂🥮
And with Autumn brings lots of Bertie hibernation (realistically this is just Bertie 24/7)

The first event of September was yet another trip to see The Drifters, only this time we went to Nottingham. Another great nighht as always! We were recognised again by the band (it’s definitely the t-shirts) but at the end of the night we were gifted the drummer’s drumsticks as a thank you! Mum and I spent the walk back to the car and the drive home in shock.

I decided that going brunette wasn’t enough of a change and decided to get a small fringe put in! I was always told that I wouldn’t really suit a fringe, but seriously why didn’t I do this earlier?! I love it!!! Just means that I now need to take more time in the morning to style my hair now #hairproblems 💇🏻♀️🪮

The following day, we took a trip over to Scunthorpe to once again to go see The Drifters (you’ll see a pattern building when it comes to my reasons for leaving the house 😬). I would definitely say that over the last year or so, I have definitely become more bold when it comes to driving new places. Don’t get me wrong, it still stresses me out, but as I am now the only person who can drive – I have no choice really! I have to bite the bullet and just go for it! As long as I have my co-driver with me, I’ll be alright! But getting back on track, the concert was brilliant as always – and is definitely not the last time we will be seeing them for this year!!

In exciting book news!! I spent the first half of this month scribbling and typing away… drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁 I HAVE FINISHED WRITING BOOK TWO!!! 🥳🎉👏🏻👏🏻
So pleased the main bulk of it has been written, and now it’s time to knuckle down with editing and then marketing – ah the joys of self-publishing 😮💨
So stay tuned for exciting reveals… in the form of a book trailer!!
We treated ourselves to a trip out the other day to Morrisons (because we know how to live). but we did treat ourselves to an autumnal lounge set. Which of course means another matching set! It is the softest thing ever and I get the feeling I will be living in this when the days get colder. So if you are passing a Morrisons, go in and grab yourself a set for £13!

I have whacked out the ‘100 day countdown to Christmas’ calendar seeing as I can finally use it, and have been listening to heart Xmas radio. Definitely been helping to build up my excitement for the big C 🎄🎄🎄 (Not that my excitement needs much building anyway!) Where are my Christmas lovers at? I need reassurance that I am not the only already considering putting up the Christmas tree! 🎄 (Again, apologises if it is too soon for some of you, I just can’t help it!)
I had the perfect Autumn day. I spent a Sunday making cookies (out of a packet mix of course because I don’t have time to be making them from scratch), cosying up on the sofa watching Miss Marple all day and topped off with a pumpkin spiced chai latte – the ultimate day! 🎃☕️

That’s about it for my excitement in September. I mainly spent the rest of the month snuggling up with Bertie and putting the final touches to book two!
Just kidding – there’s one more surprise from me 👀.
I am so excited to announce that Book Two will be available for to you buy from… 🥁🥁🥁🥁 14th FEBRUARY 2025!!! Check out my Facebook page or TikTok for the full announcement!
