October 2024:

Hello again! 👋🏻

Just like that, the leaves have gone brown and the clocks have gone back and we are now reaching the end of October. And so it is time for another monthly round up.

I will admit that this month has mainly been focusing on finishing off editing Book Two – which I have now done! So now the next step is uploading the manuscript and cover ready for finalising the setup on Amazon. (Be sure to read to the end of this post for an exciting announcement! 📣🤩)

Any Pug owners will know that 15th October is a very important day as it is… National Pug Day!

So to celebrate this special day, here are different pictures I have captured of Bertie during the month of October.

It was also around 8th October two years ago when I came up with the idea for ‘Academy Assassination’! How crazy that this all began two years ago and none of this would have happened if I hadn’t sat in this auditorium in York!

And of course this wouldn’t be one of my monthly posts without a trip to see The Drifters! This time we were front row in Lincoln, which was a full circle moment for us as this was the place Mum and I first saw The Drifters back in June 2023. Mum and I had created our own t-shirts for the occasion, which got noticed by the singers. It was a brilliant concert as always, amazing songs. We even headed to the stage door and were able to talk to the band and we managed to get their signatures – night made for Mum and I!

I couldn’t post about October without sharing Bertie’s Halloween costume for this year. We went down the DIY route this year and lived up to his nickname of Bertie-BOO!! 👻
