November Notes

November 2024:

Strap yourselves In for another monthly round up! And November seems be to bringing out a theme within me… A festive theme that is… 🎄

Starting off strong on the Christmas front, Mum and I spent the FIRST day of November in the Garden Centre (mainly to see the singing penguins 🐧) and the Range buying more Christmas decorations (that we definitely didn’t need 😬). It is not a festive shopping day without going through a tunnel or two of Christmas lights!

The shopping doesn’t stop there as a couple of days later we followed up with a trip into town to spend some more pennies (this time mainly for me – you’ve got to treat yourself from time to time!)

Please enjoy this slideshow as you get to see my shopping get progressively bigger as my money drastically shrinks in size – I know it’s a real problem 😬)

The festivities continue when we decided it was never too early to put up the Christmas decorations and the tree! 🎄🤩 It was a two day event, mainly because by the time we have put up all the other decorations around the house, we were too tired to put up the tree (and I can spend a whole day putting up the tree!) But it is now up and glistening in all its glory!

And if you look closely, you can see a small furry friend who always finds their way into the picture. This is known as Bertie’s place as he loves laying on the cosy Christmas tree skirt 🥹

The rest of November seemed to go by in a whirl because we were so busy!

So our first trip was to the theatre (of course, when doesn’t a trip out with me include the theatre). Mum and I went to go and see The Dreamcoat Stars. We had seen these performers before last March, it was actually the first event out Mum and I attended after she had been discharged from Hospital after her stroke, so this time not only was it nice to enjoy the music without any anxious thoughts but it was an added bonus that it was their Christmas special!

In a nutshell, the performance consists of four Musical Theatre Actors performing songs from a multitude of musicals, but with a couple of classic Christmas carols and songs, seeing as it’s that time of year. I would recommend booking tickets to see The Dreamcoat Stars next time it’s advertised they are visiting a theatre near you if you are a Musical Theatre fan, it’s a great performance!

And as always, Mum and I couldn’t get through another cold winter month without a trip to see our favourite band – The Drifters! This time we didn’t have to travel very far as they were performing in our local theatre. As always, it was yet another amazing performance where Mum and I spent the evening singing (or should that be screaming…) and dancing along. It was lovely seeing the boys afterwards and say hello (and of course we did fan girl a little bit!)

I would always recommend booking yourself some tickets to these lovely lads perform and carry on the name of The Drifters in style – see you in Peterborough lads!

I spent one evening catching up with a couple of friends from school. It felt like ages since I had since them, but despite that we were able to jump back into acting as we had when we were back at school yesterday – we need another catch up soon please! 🫶🏻 Whilst we were out we spent some time parked up in front of the local Cathedral which was all lit up and had the Christmas tree decorated, so pretty!

My November ended on a lunch out for My Dad. 29th November this year marked the one year anniversary of his passing, so Mum and I wanted to mark the moment with a trip out for lunch to one of the pubs Dad and I used to visit when he used to take me to and from university. We had such a lovely day enjoying good food and remembering Dad’s funniest moments. Missing you always Dad ❤️

I couldn’t end this post without sharing a few snaps of Bertie through November. The last slide shows his creative side as he decided to become a dab-paw painter and help us paint my Aunt’s living room. Unfortunately he didn’t use his paws… more his face 😅🥹

And that’s it – that’s my November! Very jam-packed and hectic at times (so here’s to hoping for a quieter December! 🤞🏻)

Hope your November was busy and filled with fun.

Here’s to December – and lots of festive joy and Christmas shenanigans! 🎄

And it’s only right to say, as you’ll be seeing this in December… MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄

See you soon!

TTFN – Love Hannah ❤️ x
