The Start of 2025!
January 2025:
✨HAPPY NEW YEAR!✨
I hope everyone has started off the new year well. I know that sometimes the start of a new year can be difficult for some people, if that’s you – keep going, things will get better! You’ve got this 🫶🏻
My first month into 2025 has been really busy, despite feeling so slow (seriously though why does January always feel like it lasts for 2 months rather than one?!)

Of course Mum and I started off the year with a bang by watching the London fireworks 💥 (I’m sorry the jokes won’t get any better). The fireworks were brilliant as always, and always much more enjoyable when you can watch them from the comfort of your sofa, wearing cosy pjs whilst drinking a glass of non-alcoholic wine 🥂
A couple of days later, I had a very exciting parcel delivered… THE FIRST COPY OF MY SECOND BOOK! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this package (I had even considered tracking down the postman at one point, but then thought that might be too far and the restraining order wouldn’t have looked good!) But it’s finally here and I am so happy with it! There is still time to pre-order yourself a copy before it is released on 14th February 2025. And remember, every order made through my website (Here!) will receive a signed copy of the book, a handwritten thank you notecard from me and a free bookmark (I like to treat you). So grab yourself a copy, I can’t wait for you to read it!

Whilst we’re on the subject of books, you’ll be pleased to know that book three is happening – the writing has begun! It’s not been the easiest start granted, but I always find it takes time for me to get into the rhythm of writing. (Also shoutout to the Staying Relevant Podcast for entertaining whilst I have been writing!)
The real reason writing book three has been put on the back burner is because I have been busy packing… yes I say packing because WE ARE MOVING! 🚚 Now I know you’re thinking: ‘But Hannah, didn’t you only just move into this house?’ You would be correct, but before you start rolling your eyes, let me explain. We had always said that this house was the ideal route to take to get us out of the situation we were in, but we always said it wouldn’t be permanent. We wanted a house that was nearer to the city where we used to live and would mean we were also closer to friends and family (with it just being Mum and I in the house and after Mum’s Stroke, we have to think of all eventualities – and the idea of Mum being on her own in the house if I was ever admitted to hospital with no one nearby to help out worried me). So we agreed that we would start looking at new houses in the new year and when we found this house a couple of weeks ago, and it ticked all the boxes, we knew it was the one so we grabbed it! So in short, the majority of my January has been spent packing and painting, but you can see more of the progress of our move on my TikTok. But here are some snippets of it:
For anyone who might be wondering the colour I have used is Johnston’s ‘Burnt Sugar’ and it is beautiful 😍 and yes that third wall has now been decorated!
Apart from that, my January has been filled with the weekly shopping trips and FaceTime calls from a friend from Uni. We now seem to have built a tradition where we call whenever he visits the football (don’t ask), but it does mean we get to keep an eye on him and his shopping habits (meaning we usually get an input in his purchases which is always fun!)

I did say in 2025 one of my New Year Resolutions would be to put more effort into myself daily. I would normally spend 2024 in just comfy clothes without putting much thought into any outfits, and would normally mean my whole day went the same way (not putting effort in and ending up just staring into space or my phone). So here is some evidence of my outfit choices so far, if this is the motivation you needed to go to your own wardrobe and pick out some new outfits then you are very welcome!
And someone else who deserves their own little slideshow update is Bertie 🐾 (we all know now it’s a tradition to have a monthly Bertie update):

So that’s January done (at long last, already feels like we should be halfway through February by now!) But here’s a sneak peek of how I will be spending the first half of February (no, not unpacking – although I will be doing that too). I will be packing up all the pre-orders I have received so far as the books have finally arrived! Look at them all!! 🥹 Don’t forget there’s still time to pre-order yours, and I have spares so if you order now you will be looking at your copy of the book! Remember orders through this website automatically receive a signed copy, a handwritten thank you notecard and a free bookmark! Thank you for all the support I have received so far, whether its through ordering or reading my books or through reading this blog – I am forever grateful to you all! ❤️

Comments Conversation (I thought we could try something new): Have you made any New Years Resolutions this year, and if so what are they? What steps have you put in to achieve them?
Until next time!
See you soon!
