March's Moments!
March 2025:
How are we already in March! I always find that January and February seems to drag; and whilst January was still a long month, February flew by!! And now we are in the third month of the year!!
Starting off the month with our furry visitor – Archie! I think Bertie is still unsure about Archie, because Bertie will fly onto the sofa when he sees Archie coming towards him. But I’m sure overtime they will become the best of friends. I will say my fingers are still recovering because Archie loves chewing… mainly fingers…. so my hands have been brutally attacked by the Tasmanian Devil disguised as a pug! But we still love him! 🥹
I will forever love seeing pictures of the two of them together! 🥹😭❤️
I then turned my hand to a bit of DIY when I tried felting the roof on our shed as we had a leak coming through the roof. Now to say I know nothing about this kind of work, because I have never had to worry about this kind of thing before, I think I did pretty good! I’m not saying it’s perfect… but it’s good enough for me! You can’t say I didn’t try! I will say it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was going to be; the hardest part was carrying the felt through the store and then to the car! Why does that stuff need to be that heavy! But I thought I would share my achievements through my before and after shots (and a couple of pictures with my assistant 🐾❤️)

Mum and I decided to take a trip round the nearby business centre which was made up of different antique centres and a garden nursery. We didn’t find much that interested us, but then that’s probably because Mum and I aren’t very knowledgeable on antiques. But we did treat ourselves to a chai latte afterwards – mainly because it was freezing cold and had started raining… and we had walked there 😬

We then took a road trip to London area to go and visit my cousin! Now it will be no surprise to anyone when I say that the idea of driving around any area of London terrifies me! But having said that, the drive wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be! Another driving milestone achieved! But it was lovely seeing my cousin – absolutely love him! 🫶🏻
But we also had another exciting reason for travelling there… we were off to our first Drifters concert of the year!! We have been counting down the days to this very moment and we were not disappointed – it was as though it hadn’t been months since we last saw them! I also think this is the closest front row ever! We were practically touching the stage!

When we came back home, my cousin came with us and so did two other guests… my Aunt came to visit us for a few days along with her little furry friend Archie! During their visit my cousin helped us improve our garden by digging up some of the soil ready for grass seed (which Mum and I carried out the following week – still no grass at the moment but we’re still keeping our fingers crossed 🤞🏻) and he also built us a small sculpture made out of wire and stones – honestly he has hidden talents that man!
Bertie and Archie got on so well this time! They spent the sunny days chasing each other around the garden and would then sunbathe in the sun ☀️ so cue another slideshow of the puppies! 🐾❤️
After all our visitors had gone home (so sad, I’m still missing them!) Mum and I took a trip into town for a bit of retail therapy 🤑🛍️ Definitely didn’t need to spend anymore pennies, but you’ve got to treat yourself from time to time!
We ended off the month of March with another trip to the local business park near us with my other Aunt. Mum and I had been a few times during the month (and it was on these trips I was introduced to my inner muscles when I was able to carry heavy bags of compost and top soil – never underestimate the strength of a woman! 💪🏻), but this was the first time my aunt had visited so we gave her a little tour and of course took a trip to the garden centre. During our time looking at the different flowers, we found ourselves a little friend – a robin 🫶🏻 Dad always loved doing work in the garden and was always sharing his advice on different plants, so it felt as though he was joining us on our little trip 🥹❤️ But we ended our trip out with fish and chips. Honestly, I was in a food coma afterwards, it was that good! 😋
That was the majority of my activities for the month of March! As for a book three update – I have finally managed to finish writing chapter three! This may not seem like a big achievement but when I say that I have lost so much motivation over the last month or so with my writing; I think it’s because I have had so many other things going on that writing seems to be have pushed to the side. But fear not! The writing bug is slowly creeping back in, so here’s to many more writing accomplishments coming my way in April!

I will end my blog post with this lovely picture I took of the evening sky on the 31st March. I don’t know what it was but I just loved how the colours merged effortlessly together and changed from a deep blue to a lovely pale pink/purple. It might just be me but sometimes I love taking pictures of sunsets! 🌅
Comments Conversation: Are you more of a sunrise or sunset kind of person? And what’s one thing that you love seeing or taking pictures of? It could be something big or small!
Until next time!
See you soon!
