October's Opportunities!
October 2025:
I can’t believe we are only three months from the end of 2025!!
And October felt like a long but eventful month – so let’s crack into it!

I am going to jump straight into book three talk because I did start off the beginning of the month preparing all of the pre-orders for book three release. I also decided to sign all the copies of my books that I know – this was such a pinch me moment to see all these copies of my work signed and ready for someone to purchase and enjoy!
At the beginning of October Mum, Bertie and I went on our long awaited holiday with my Aunt and Archie to the Isle of Wight. I used to spend some of the holidays here when I was a child when we went to see my Dad’s parents, so this was a lovely trip down memory lane but this time to somewhere new on this little island. The first day we spent travelling there which was definitely more exciting for Bertie and Archie who had never been on a ferry before. We settled into our Air BNB for the afternoon (which was the perfect place for us, just the right amount of room and was so lovely and cosy) and then we headed down to the beach. I must say that despite the beach being a five-minute walk from where we were staying, we weren’t expecting the hill we had to walk down to (but mainly focusing on the walk back up afterwards). Needless to say it was a definite workout! But I must say that the sunsets on the Isle of Wight are beautiful, I will be going back just to experience them again!
Day two started off with a walk along the cliff face and Berite loved his view of the sea (Bertie loves the seaside). My Mum, Aunt and I then headed out for the day and headed over to Godshill, where we went round the Model Village and then decided to scare ourselves stupid by going round to Appuldurcombe House. The Model Village was a lovely experience as they create the village of Godshill in the model village. We definitely had a laugh going round there – so enjoy the many images of that! Appuldurcombe House was a spooky experience to us. We had seen a few dogs wandering around the ruins during our visit, but out of nowhere we heard dogs suddenly start howling and the birds start creating noise and flying off – there was no noise before this that could cause the dogs to start howling 😬 I have shared a vlog of this on my YouTube account which i have marked out when you hear the dogs howling in the video – check it out and see if you can hear it too!
Our third day was such an exciting day. 11th October ‘Festive Foul Play’ was released! It was lovely to know that people were receiving their pre-orders and had already started reading them. If you have ordered a copy of my third book ‘Festive Foul Play’, I hope you are enjoying reading it – don’t forget to leave a review! ☺️ That evening we celebrated at the theatre seeing ‘The Drifters’! We had an amazing evening (as we always do) and I’m already counting down to the next one (which is in seven days time as I am writing this). And Bertie even got involved in the spirit of things rocking his new hoodie.

Our full final day was spent giving Bertie one last walk on the beach and packing up before heading home the next day. It was a lovely holiday and a well-deserved break from working. I think we will be coming back to the Isle of Wight for another holiday – and I won’t be leaving it too long this time to go back ❤️
My friend came up to visit us one Saturday, so we went for breakfast and then spent the day having a catch up. The rest of my October was starting work on book four. I have been vlogging my journey on starting book four, so if you want to see how that has been going, head to my YouTube channel which is linked at the top of the website and join me on this new journey! And I also ordered the majority of my Christmas presents 🎁 – because I am organised for once!! When do you start planning Christmas?? 🎄
But don’t worry, I still managed to capture some Bertie pictures – including his stylish Halloween hoodie!

Comments Conversation: Where is one place you would love to go on holiday and why? I would personally love to go to Austria (The Sound of Music Tour is calling me), but I would also love to go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights.
Until next time!
See you soon!
