July's Jubilations!
July 2025:
How are we halfway through the year already?! January feels so long ago – which means we are one step closer to the most wonderful time of the year… 🎄 But enough talk about that for now, let’s do a rundown of the month of July!
July started off with a little visit from a well-known little furry friend because my Aunt had come up to visit bringing Archie with her to celebrate my Mums birthday! We made a long weekend of it, having afternoon tea one day to celebrate Mum’s and both my Aunt’s birthdays (of course they all had to have their birthdays in July 😂) and then on the Saturday my Sister came up and we had dinner out at a local pub near us. It was really nice to be able to get the family back together after so long! And I made some sweet treats for the afternoon tea, which went down surprisingly well! So keep your eyes peeled for a recipe blog or two!
As we are on the topic of puppies, I thought I would share some of Bertie’s snaps throughout the month of July. We discovered this month that Bertie loves a peach and raspberry ice lolly 😋🥹🐾❤️
Near the end of July I had a visit from my friend from university when he had a break from work. So within the mix of shopping and generally catching up, we also went out to dinner at a local pub near us (funnily enough the same pub we went to for Mum’s birthday – we are clearly becoming regulars there!😂) Mum and I both had the chicken tikka masala; and my friend did have the kebab but I’m not sure that he would recommend it 😂

July ended with another visit from our furry friend as my Aunt and Archie came up to stay again (they are actually still here, we can’t keep them away! 😂❤️) We were meant to have a relaxing week together but instead… we ended up taking down the shed – as you do 😂 I thought I would show the process pictures I got of our work. We did very well and are currently waiting to get all the wood removed. But it has opened up the garden so much more; so it was worth the tired arms and aching backs then 😂 So if you ever want your shed removed, contact us! 😂 Of course the puppies had to make a little moment in the spotlight; Archie did a brilliant job at helping me with my work and Bertie an excellent help lending me a paw when I had to build the new storage box for the garden. And to celebrate our hard work during the week, we went to dinner again at our new favourite spot. Clearly the chicken tikka masala is becoming a firm choice with Mum and I, and the beef lasagna got a great review from my Aunt 😋🐾❤️
I had made it my mission to spend July focusing on making some real progress with book three. I am pleased to say that I have now fully planned the whole book and I am now writing up chapter sixteen! I am really pleased with how quickly it coming along. I wanted to share some snippets of me working hard… or hardly working if I’m honest! But I did want to share my cosy work day with a pumpkin spice chai latte and some Haribo Tangfastics – you can’t tell me there is a better sweet out there! The third photo in this gallery is a trip down memory lane. Mum had come down stairs one day with her copy of the manuscripts of my first and second book! It blew my mind that I have already published two books and in a couple of weeks, my third manuscript will be complete and ready for her to read – so get ready Mum!!

So if you’re reading this and you haven’t read book one or two (what are you doing?!) Grab yourself a copy of my books through my website. Head to the Shop section and order yours today – your copy of the book will be signed and you will also receive a handwritten note from me and a free bookmark! Or you can find them through online bookstores!
Comments Conversation: What’s your favourite restaurant and what’s your go to order from there? I do love a pub and would order a chicken tikka masala. But if I went to a Wetherspoons my go to would be a chicken Katsu curry and I would sometimes treat myself to a pudding – if I fancy treating myself!
Until next time!
See you soon!
